The Gregory Kunde Chorale presents A little blessed music: Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle Friday, November 19 at 7:30 PM at St. Joseph's Church in Penfield and Sunday, November 21 at 3:00 PM at St. Mary's Church, downtown Rochester, the Chorale will master the bravura and style of Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, complete with a quartet of soloists, two pianos, and organ as originally scored by the innovative composer. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door; $10 for Students at the door with school ID, and children under 12 are free, as always! Your advance ticket allows you the choice of attending either the Friday or the Sunday performance. Phillip Gossett, the American musicologist and authority on Rossini, wrote about the composer: " no composer in the first half of the 19th century enjoyed the measure of prestige, wealth, popular acclaim or artistic influence that belonged to Rossini.
